I will
help you to train and learn about your
dog at the same time.
Introduction: Kathy High
Graduate of Animal Behavior College,
AKC CGC Evaluator #88066.
I earned my certification as a
Certified Dog Trainer. (ABC) is
approved by the Bureau for Private
Postsecondary and Vocational Education
and is an internationally recognized
school.
My commitment and flexible program has
provided me with an education and
opportunity that allows me to teach
canine obedience and understanding
your dog. My certification, education
and experience provide me the skills
required to effectively and humanely
help train your dog while keeping
alive the spark that makes your dog so
special to you.
My mission as a dog trainer at High's
Dog Training is to help you and
your dog learn to love and respect
each other so you both can live happy
and healthy lives. If you have a
disability I can help you to train
your dog to perform tasks for you to
help make your life easier and to keep
your dog happy and busy doing a job
for you.
My training philosophy is...
Use strong positive training methods
for both a happy dog and owner.
Always start and end training on a
happy note.
There are many methods of training
dogs if one does not work don't worry,
I can still help you and
your dog be successful.
Practice being, Patient,
Persistent, Consistent.
I can teach you how to read your dog's
body language; this is very helpful in
your training.
Expose your dog to as many dogs,
people, places, things and other
animals as possible .
I also believe....
By giving your dog the right amount of
exercise, the proper nutrition and
veterinary care both you and your dog
will benefit.
Dogs need a job to do so they not only
have physical stimulation but also
have mental stimulation.
Dogs truly benefit from leadership and
like their predecessors the wolf, if
you do not lead your dog will.
My training methods include...
Positive reinforcement
Using real life situations
Working one on one with the dog's
owner and family to teach positive
training methods and help ensure that
everyone is on the same page.
I have never found a saying an
old and wise dog person once told me
more true....First and foremost a dog
will always be a dog.
